Motorola to explain exploding batteries |

Brazil's telecoms regulator Anatel has ordered US mobile phone
manufacturer Motorola (NYSE: MOT) to explain a recent explosion of two
batteries in a mobile phone, reported local newspaper.
The batteries have been sent to the police and cannot be examined by the
company, Motorola said in a statement.
Motorola has more than 30 handset models available in Brazil, and also
produces them at a technology center at Jaguarina in So Paulo state.
