It was announced by Will GrayLin, CEO of WAY Systems, Inc., of Woburn, Massachusetts, that the firm has introduced three new versions of the company's successful Mobile Transaction Terminal (MTT) to its product line.

The company announced the availability of the MTT 1571, a dual-band device, which operates at 850Mhz and 1900Mhz in the United States and Canada, providing greater signal coverage in these markets. The device is capable of performing credit and online debit transactions with its integrated PCI/PED certified PIN Pad. The MTT 1571 incorporates many of the same features as the company's widely successful MTT 1500, but with a color display, which is 30% larger, a keypad with greater separation between the keys to allow for easier user entry, and two additional menu keys. In user testing, these improvements have been demonstrated to significantly enhance the ease-of-use characteristics of the device.

For certain international markets, WAY Systems announced the immediate availability of the MTT 1570, which operates at 900Mhz and 1800Mhz. The MTT 1570 also includes the keyboard and display enhancements of the MTT 1571, and is capable of performing credit, debit and EMV transactions through its integrated PIN Pad and smart card reader, which conforms to EMV Levels 1 and 2.

WAY Systems also announced that its MTT 1500 is being withdrawn from marketing and replaced with the MTT 1510. The MTT 1510 incorporates all of the characteristics of the MTT 1500, but allows for the attachment of an optional enhanced antenna to improve signal transmission and reception.
