Jataayu Software, a leading
provider of handset solutions and Carrier VAS solutions, today
announced the latest addition to its Handset Application Suite –the
jSync DS client. The jSync DS client offers fully featured SyncML Data
Synchronisation v1.2 functionality.
The jSync DS Client offers a standards compliant data synchronisation
solution for PIM (Personal Information Management) & Email. The jSync DS
client is designed for portability and is built on the proven JCF ®
foundation –Jataayu’s Client Framework –ported on over 12 different
platforms.
The jSync DS client shares a
common SyncML engine with the jSync DM Client –Jataayu’s Device
Management Client. They can be provided together or as standalone
independent solutions, in a flexible efficient package.
In addition to these Client
solutions, Jataayu also provides a Personal Sync Server. The Personal
Sync Server allows the mobile user to synchronise the data-set (Address
book, Calendar, To-do/tasks) on his handset with his desktop/laptop
computer. The Personal Sync Server integrates with Microsoft Outlook and
Outlook Express, available on user’s desktop/laptop computer.
With the launch of jSync DS Client, Jataayu’s Handset Application suite
is now enriched with a powerful Synchronization client that can be
integrated with a variety of applications to take advantage of the
services offered by Network Operators ”, said Mr. Raj Kesarimall,
Director, Jataayu Software. “With Network Operators launching SyncML
based services, we find handset vendors are increasingly looking to
implement Synchronization capabilities in their devices, to
differentiate offerings”.
With the jSync DS suite Handset vendors can offer users the ability to
access key data everywhere, at all times and manage all Personal
information from a device of their choice. They are able to maintain
up-to-date all PIM (Personal Information Management) data such as
Phonebook, Calendar, ToDos, Memos and even Email.
These include complete backup &
restore functionality, filtering data sets for selective backup, manage
overflows.
